Today we rode from our campsite at Traverse City State Park directly out to Sutton Bay which was a cute little village. Round trip was 46 miles.
We rested at The “divide”. Definitely wasn’t the Rockies!
Ate lunch in Sutton Bay, then came back. It was supposed to rain, but never did.
Following in footsteps- I thought a lot about that today as we were hiking the dunes at Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore.
It was easier to put my foot in someone else’s footprints than to struggle in the open, in the untouched areas.
This was really evident in the super steep 600 foot climb that we did. Coming back was a struggle for me, but I made it!
We stopped in Manitowoc Wisconsin and went to the maritime museum there. We learned all about Shipwrecks on Lake Michigan.
Had a great late breakfast at Manitowoc Coffee.
Then we got on a car ferry to Ludington, Michigan.

Today Liz and her sister-in-law Donna hit the water in Bear Lake.
Ross sported his new Spam jersey with his new Spam Socks to go with his hat! Liz wore her donut jersey so we were the Breakfast Club! Rode 28 miles to go see Ross’ grandparents old houses in Royalton, Wisconsin.
More time with family
We are camping in Huckleberry Acres near New London, Wisconsin. We were pleasantly surprised to be surrounded by trees instead of a farm field. Had time with family tonight.
We had time to visit the Spam Museum in Austin, Mn yesterday and try out their new Maple flavored Spam. Ross got a biking jersey to go with his Spam hat. Saw the motorcycle fueled by bacon!
God has given us three days of good driving and weather.
