Went over to Jekyll late afternoon. Walked on driftwood beach, went out for Mexican food on the beach and then saw the light displays.
Although we aren't Canadian, we admire the loon. Having bought a loon mat for our camper, when we park our camper at the next campsite, we have landed!

Christ Church Cemetery
I spent months reading Eugenia Price books preparing for this winter. I read the St Simons series first. Today I walked over to Christ Church and strolled around the cemetery to see the graves of the characters in her books.
Below is the grave of the gentleman who built the first lighthouse on the Island. The first book is called “Lighthouse “….one of my favorites.

Bike Tent
Today was a transition day. It also was a beautiful clear day. Ross set up our bike tent so we don’t have to keep placing them back in the truck. He went on a short ride checking out all the rain damage from the 24 hours of rain we got.
I filled out volunteer paperwork and got trained on how to work at the bookstore.

Christmas Decorations
We are getting settled in. I have the Christmas tree quilt my grandmother made up in the camper. Makes me feel happy.
The rain finally stopped. We had a good day catching up with family and stuffing ourselves with food

We made it to Fort Frederica!
We made it safely! This is our new home for the next six weeks… met some of our coworkers and got a quick tour of the site.
God was good and gave us a safe journey. We got groceries and now are settling in. Raining lots tonight now.

Chattanooga
Racoon Caverns
We toured two caves today. And endured many corny jokes.
Ross did a bike ride around the Racoon reservoir and Liz hiked a bit. The evening was rounded out by a German meal and a walk on the Walnut Street Bridge.

Racoon Mountain
We made it to Chattanooga! God gave us another good travel day.
We are going to hang out here for 2 nights so we can be tourists tomorrow.
We drove around the Tennessee Valley Authority Racoon Mountain site. Cool civil engineering site….the way they built a reservoir into the mountain to save Chattanooga from flooding was amazing.
We worked on flushing the water tanks so we are de-winterized and settling in.

Visiting friends and relatives in Lincoln
Had a good visit with Liz’ cousins and aunt and uncle.
Then we caught up with some friends at dinner.
Former neighbors house us and all are great to catch up with.
My eye is improving. Thanks ladies for the prayers!
Off driving again tomorrow!

Lincoln, Nebraska
God is so good. He protected us from hitting a small herd of deer. We made it to Lincoln fine.
Unfortunately my eye was acting up. I thought I had something in it, but unfortunately the eye doctor I was able to get into says it is an eye infection..
