We moved today from Lost Dutchman to Gilbert Ray Campground west of Tucson.
Thanks to those who prayed for healing. My head doesn’t feel like it is going to explode anymore. Just coughing a bit now.
The sunsets in the desert are pretty. I enjoy sitting outside and watching as the sky’s color changes and the air cools down.
Ross has been sick for a few days. Unfortunately, I got the cold late yesterday afternoon. Now my head is straining and stuffed up. I feel like the cactus below.
We are at Andrew’s. Today will be the last day we see him for awhile. Sad. I enjoy his company.
Today we tried to hike Flat Iron in Lost Dutchman. We got up 948 feet in elevation and called it good. Ross tried hiking and he isn’t over his cold yet. I was having trouble with the steepness of the trail.
After a nap we grabbed a bite then hung out at Andrew’s house. His music is coming along. I love listening to his playing.
Thank you Jesus for saving us! Today is a lovely day in Apache Junction to remember what God has done for us.
Andrew and I went to visit Sherry, Ross’ stepmom. We had a lovely lunch at her facility. Unfortunately Ross is not feeling well so he hung out at the camper all day.
Ross and Andrew played golf today. Liz went for a bike ride and hit over 20000 miles for the year.woohoo! ( Ross has over 6,000)
Went to 3:30 Christmas Eve candlelight service. Andrew played during the service.
Now we are cooking a prime rib. Unfortunately I may fall asleep before it is done!
We listened to music while waiting for the prime rib.
The prime rib was excellent!
This morning Ross woke up determined that we needed a new mattress. So we went to several different RV stores in Mess( they have a lot of stores). But they didn’t have ones that fold in have like we need.
So we took our bikes out. Ross and I rode some of the canal trails in Mesa. The canal paths vary, concrete, asphalt and just plain gravel. Great riding!

We moved today from the Mesa/Apache Junction KOA to Lost Dutchman State Park. State Parks usually have more space and fire pits which we like.
We were able to go to Discovery Church this morning and worship with Andrew. Such a blessing that so many places of worship exist. God definitely blesses us as we travel.

Went for bike rides today. Caught up with Andrew.

We made really good time today, and made it all the way to Apache Junction.

Last night we went to the Santa Fe Dessert Chorale at the Basilica. What an awesome performance! Norwegian songs, then some traditional Christmas, then the finale was having the choir members circling the inside of the church singing Silent Night. Quite moving.
The choir director said we are designed to sing in groups! God made us so we could benefit in worship. What a divine Creator!
Got to visit with my two brothers and their families today! We all gathered at the clubhouse at the RV park which had a fireplace like my mom used to have.
Shared lots of memories! Had some Fork Real cheesecake I snuck up in a box labeled “Quinoa Casserole “.
Today we made it to Santa Fe. We will stay here a few days to try to catch up with my brothers.
Off we went to Trader Joe’s to stock up on some supplies and snacks. Plus some carbonated waters. We have getting a bit dehydrated trying to not have to make more stops!
Tonight we went downtown for a bite to eat and window shop. Lots of fun art galleries, most of which you can see most everything from the outside.
The square was lit up!
God has been giving us a safe journey!
We made it to Colorado Springs! The roads were dry, but it was windy! I couldn’t keep track of all the tumbleweeds we saw. Taking pictures of the tumbleweeds is tricky! I wasn’t successful so I thought I would post a picture I took awhile ago of when we arrived at our church one Sunday morning.
We love going on trips, but we do miss our church and friends when we are gone.
